The situations one grows up in influences a person's personality and decision-making for the rest of their life. Positive qualities such as wealth and an uplifting atmosphere will typically create successful human beings who lead happy lives. Conversely, if someone grows up in an abusive household, the individual will often be bitter and emotionally fearful. In the novel Jane Eyre, her life is set in mostly oppressive housing. Beginning in Gateshead, Jane's physically and verbally abusive family members were the basis of her hatred and rebellion against oppressive authority. After her first home, Lowood filled many other places in Jane's life. Upon reaching Thornfield, Jane discovered the rose-like beauty and pain of life. After escaping the horror and pain of Thornfield, Jane discovered peace and rest at Moor House and Morton with her newfound cousins. Although Jane's stay at Moor House was crucial to her recovery of mental and physical health, she would not be entirely satisfied with her life until she returned to Thornfield. Upon returning and discovering the charred ruins, Jane decided to live with her former employer and lover Edward Rochester in Ferndean. Through all the different locations she occupied and accumulating personality transformations Jane Eyre experienced, the changes were evident for the rest of her life. In Gateshead Jane Eyre grew up with her evil cousins and aunt. This fictional location is located in a part of England north of London. Gateshead was the "gateway" or starting point to the rest of the world for Jane Eyre. Also this is where Jane grew up, so evidently it was the "boss" or start of all her tribulations in life. Through… in the middle of the paper… he truly loved, but at the same time he gained knowledge and the ability to teach. Similar to her time at Lowood, at Thornfield Jane came to know love and pain more deeply than she had previously known. Once again Jane experienced emotional suffering at Moor House and Morton, yet she also received from her cousins the peaceful rest and lasting friendship she needed to regain proper mental and physical health. In the novel Jane Eyre, the experiences she has to overcome in the book parallel the real-world scenarios. Although Jane experienced incredible pain, she managed to overcome it by enjoying the joys of life. This clearly describes the dependency of human beings. Despite growing up in difficult conditions and being psychologically scared, Jane Eyre managed to overcome difficulties and create a positive life for herself.
