Globalization is an inevitable issue in the world, bringing borders between countries closer together. Thanks to sophisticated technology, the mobility of local culture, music, knowledge and goods has improved. Since we want to communicate with other races of people, we will use a language as a bridge. Therefore, English becomes a globalizing language due to its clear structure and format. Is the language of globalization positive or negative for us? I believe the answer should not be one-sided. The truth is that English as a globalized language can benefit the local economy and culture. However, it also triggers some negative issues. In my following essay I will divide it into three parts. First I will describe why English is a lingua franca. Second, the disadvantages and advantages of using English as a globalizing language. Finally, I will present my point of view. However, he tried to invade overseas countries to transform himself into one of the largest empires in world history. Then, their language had spread throughout the world. Nowadays, it is used in many important fields and fields such as science, business and international events. It is an undeniable fact that English is the most taught foreign language in the world. A second language is powerful; it is a tool to spread cultures, religion, music and literature to other states. It is also for colonization. For example, Chinese mu...... middle of paper...... factors, then it will further elaborate into another new set of languages. Some believe that it is the destruction of the native language. But the new language is more superior than the old one. The advantages and characteristics of English emerge, while the structures and foundations of the mother tongue remain. English has a special role in the world. It offers us the opportunity to preserve our culture while we are experiencing globalization. Since the distribution of power and the political system can influence the globalized and dominated position of English, another language could replace English after a couple of decades. Since China has more reputation nowadays, non-native speakers try to master Putonghua to have more business interactions with China. It is not a dream for Putonghua to assume the status of English as a globalizing language.
