Some theories similar to this are social cognitive theory, self-perception theory, social comparison theory, and self-verification theory. All these theories involve looking for something to process thoughts unlike the social inclination theory which is used to explain human behavior which includes their actions. Social learning theory is very useful because it helps explain some of the social problems in the world and provide a solution to them. For example, if we analyze why some adolescents behave in a certain way, we could use social learning theory to explain their actions.
