I left my home country Nigeria at the age of fourteen to pursue better and contemporary higher education in South Africa and later moved in the United States of America America, for my university education. I try to acclimatise to whatever environment I find myself in and learn as much as I can from all the experiences. The education required to become a doctor here in the United States is extensive and for me, as an international student, very expensive. It's quite challenging and can be stressful. The general path to medicine involves completing "4 years of undergraduate school, 4 years of medical school, and then, depending on the individual specialty, 3 to 8 years of internship and residency programs" (physicians and surgeons). According to doctors and surgeons, it is important for doctors to be excellent communicators, attentive to detail, organized and have strong physical stamina. Doctors must be compassionate and patient and must be good at working with their hands. They also need to have some leadership and problem-solving skills to be able to save a patient's life as quickly as possible
