Many people are familiar with World War I and World War II as they are some of the most famous wars in the world. Have you ever wondered how much you really know? This article is here to inform you of all the propaganda used to persuade people to follow Hitler, the Nazi party and Stalin, terms used during this time period, and some of the very important people involved in World War I and World War II. At the height of the First World War there were two groups, the Allies and the Central Powers. The allies, which included France, Great Britain and Russia, went against the Central Powers. The Russian Revolution, a term describing a series of revolutions in Russia, was also underway during this time period. These series of revolutions demolished the tsarist autocracy and led to the creation of the Soviet Union. Soviet realism is another word for socialist realism which is the theory of art, literature and music officially endorsed by some communist countries. This type of art was intended to change the way people saw things and show people real-life things rather than putting unimportant fantasies into people's heads. Early Fascist Italy was governed by Mussolini, a fascist dictator. Fascism is an authoritarian government whose people were extreme nationalists. Mussolini ruled as Italy's Prime Minister from 1922 to 1943, following constitutional rules until 1925 when he abandoned all democratic methods and became a dictatorship known as II Duce meaning "the leader". World War II is a very famous war and mainly known for the leader of the Nazi party, Adolf Hitler, who was the socialist leader of Nazi Germany. Hitler was very persuasive and very educated in using propaganda to get what he wanted. The Nazi leader used logic… half the paper… During World War II, wartime governments censored the press. They censored the press because the Nazi party did not want to have a bad reputation; they wanted to appear well-rounded so they could gain as many followers as possible. National economic systems were also established to recruit, arm, and transport any goods or services that soldiers fighting in the war needed. The Nazi Party did everything it thought would help it during the war, and the best way to do that was to get people on its side. Unfortunately, many people conformed to Nazi customs. World War I and World War II were both major events that will live forever in American history and many other countries around the world. From the Soviet Union, to the Allied Forces, to the Axis Powers, from Mussolini to Adolf Hitler, all aspects will be the main reasons why we, the United States, are the country we are today..
