Growing up wasn't easy, but it's a part of life we all go through, like in the Disney movie Meet the Robinsons you need to "keep moving forward." In life we have to face challenging obstacle courses which are not so easy but help us in life. A challenging obstacle course we undertake is school, high school to be exact. In high school to get to the top you have to fail because by failing you learn, because you learn from your mistakes and "Keep moving forward" and do your best to do a better job next time. From success not so much because you learn nothing from it. Lakeview students are required to learn special objectives known as expected grade-level learning outcomes known as (ESLRS). As you progress through the semesters, you should improve in the 5 ESLRS Effective Communicator, Intellectually Developed Person, Problem Solver, Self-Directed Lifelong Learner, and Responsible Community Member. As an individual I have improved my skills as an effective communicator, as a self-directed lifelong learner, and as a responsible community member. The first one I have improved is being an Effective Communicator. An effective communicator demonstrates purpose and is aware of the audience when communicating orally and in writing. They employ a variety of strategies and technologies to communicate effectively. In my English class, when we did group projects, I had to communicate with my group so that we could understand our PowerPoint project and what we were doing, so we could help each other and get things done for the project. We also had to use our effective communication orally when presenting in front of the class so that they would know what was going on and would not be confused. Also... half of the paper... brazier. Also, in one of the portfolios for English III Honors, we were supposed to give advice to incoming freshmen (8th grade students). I had to give them advice on what to expect upon arrival, what not to do and how to survive. I also had to regulate them and give them rules so that they wouldn't ruin the first year and that showed a lot of discipline and honesty because I had to be honest with them. In conclusion Growing up wasn't easy but it's a part of life that we all go through. If you use the 5 ESLRS like I did, you can grow and be very successful. Life only gets harder after you get out of high school, but if you remember the motto like in the Disney movie Meet the Robinsons "Keep moving forward" and also the motto "Keep swimming" from Finding Nemo, everything will be smooth and happy venture into the wonders of what life brings and brings to you.
