RelationshipsThe relationship between Elie and his father was important due to their mutual help, protection, and care. Throughout the book Night Elie Wiesel and his father build a great relationship, and despite all the bad things that happened, they remained close. Did you know that one in three children, or 24 million children in the United States, live in a home without a biological father? As for the children in the Holocaust, they lost their fathers and had to survive on their own with no one to go out with. As for Elie and his father, they stayed together to survive and built a stronger relationship. Throughout the book Night Elie's father helps his son. Help can be defined as doing something that makes it easy for someone to do a job. "Men on the left! Women on the right!", when this happened Elie was separated from his mother and sisters, the only person he had left was his father (Wiesel 29).
