Dharma is an important term in Indian religions. In Hinduism it means "duty", "virtue", "morality", even "religion" and refers to the power that sustains the universe and society. Dharma is the power that maintains society, makes the grass grow, the sun shines and makes us moral people or rather gives human beings the opportunity to act virtuously. Karma is a Sanskrit word whose literal meaning is 'action'. It refers to the law that every action has an equal reaction immediately or at some future time.
