compared the abilities of musicians and non-musicians to "evoke musical sensations without external stimuli", meaning to voluntarily remember and listen to musical compositions without external auditory stimuli ( 711). The results of this study showed that 97 out of 100 musicians had spontaneous musical sensations, and all 100 could evoke and modify them (“modify” means adjust pitch, tempo, etc.). Of 132 non-musicians, 39.4% had spontaneous musical sensations, 54.5 10% could evoke them, and 17.4% were able to modify them.
