A prevalent example is the 14-minute anti-Islam video posted on YouTube in July 2012. That video became the subject of discussion at the United Nations, both with Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon and US President Barrack Obama were present at the meeting on September 26 of the same year. This video caused violent riots in the Middle East. Furthermore, protests have taken place in the United States because President Obama stated that “[their] Constitution protects the right to practice free speech” (Outlook Afghanistan) even if it is offensive – and this is why the video was not banned from YouTube. Another example where free speech led to negative results is the Boston bombing of April 15, 2013. The two bombers had made very sophisticated bombs and the FBI concluded that they must have been trained. This training occurred by communicating with terrorist organizations via the Internet (Bloomberg). The CIA and FBI were unable to do anything to stop this communication that led to the attack because according to the United States Constitution everyone is free to talk to whoever they want on the Internet
