Becoming a More Effective StudentThe U.S. Department of Education releases data showing that the four-year graduation rate at California State University, Northridge is about 14%, the average six-year and eight-year graduation rates are between 44% and 49%, respectively. I can't help but wonder exactly what the issue is that is keeping us from graduating? How can we meet the challenge of learning more and graduating successfully? After my first month at CSUN, I realized that I had to sacrifice inclination to be more effective in my academic life, so to do this I have to decide what my priorities are. So how can I become a more effective student and combat the negative factors that keep me from succeeding? The right answer for me is to manage my time, improve my study habits, set goals or schedule, prioritize and balance our normal life (social, health, entertainment and daily life). I believe that by completing these things we will learn at a higher level and get back on track, so hopefully we can graduate in four years. Before finding the solution, we must find the problem, internal or external. factors can cause us to fail or prevent us from becoming effective learners. I interviewed 7 CSUN senior students and most of them find that balancing school life and normal life is one of the most difficult challenges because they lack motivation. But what can we do to solve this problem? First, make sure you are not disturbed while studying. And never procrastinate your study plan, because every student's main priority is to study and focus on our passion and energy after graduation. So you need to start with managing your time. It is necessary to be clear, consistent... in the middle of the paper... To stay healthy we must have good habits, such as eating well and on time, doing physical exercise, getting enough sleep, maintaining mental health. We must monitor ourselves every day, control our diet, stress and rest time. Once you feel unwell in your body, you need to find the medical resources on campus or go to the hospital. As we all know, a good and healthy body can help us continue or work and give us passion, energy and positive effects, so we can handle the difficulties of our school life. So don't belittle this type of health issue. Having clear goals, planning improvements, setting priorities, having good learning habits, and staying healthy are essential parts of being a more effective student. By doing so we will be able to obtain greater benefits, both by having fun and by studying. Ultimately, I wish all students to find their own way of approaching university life and achieve satisfactory results.
