Jobs had high ambitions for product excellence. He was very particular about elegant design and simplicity. Unlike many other CEOs, he was particularly focused on the details, especially when it came to the product and how it was sold in the market. He set futuristic goals of hardware and software and encouraged people to strive for more than they dreamed possible. Steve Jobs had a very hands-on technique in product design, which was inevitably his favorite part of his job. In an interview with TIME, Steve explained what a typical work day was like for him. "I'm a good morning person. I like early mornings... But I have a pretty sophisticated setup; whether I'm at Apple or Pixar or at my house, I log in and my whole world appears on none of those computers, it's all preserved on a server, so I don't carry anything with me, but wherever I am, my complete world appears, all my files, everything and I have high speed access to everything. So my office is also at home and when I'm not in meeting, I work basically via email."
