Of course Gillis accepted because he is trying to get a good start on his life and his goal of becoming a cop. What Gillis didn't know is that this "French medicine" is actually a drug and Uggan is a drug dealer and the shop is the meeting place for addicts who buy it. Gillis was selling a lot of this stuff and the whole time he didn't know it was illegal drugs. What were once three or four customers have turned into twelve or thirteen customers. This aroused the suspicion not only of the owner, but also of the police. One night, two men approach Tony, the owner, and ask him to sell them some of his things. Tony had no idea what was going on in his shop and when the two men realize this they reveal themselves to be policemen and ask for his help in catching the man behind the shop. Tony agrees and the next day takes some of the drugs and delivers them to Gillis along with the extra money from the sale. This is when the cops come in to arrest him and Gillis had no idea he was doing anything illegal but as they were arresting him he sees the beautiful lady. She was wearing a green dress and was on the other side of the club. He saw her walking and a man was trying to kiss her, which, as he could see, was clearly not welcomed by her. Gills runs through the club and argues in an attempt to push the man for whom she expresses her feelings away from her
