Topic > The Kappa Delta Sorority at MTSU - 832

Greek organizations, such as fraternities and sororities, have been a part of the college experience for centuries. We pride ourselves on brotherly and sisterly love, academic success, and helping others. There are countless stereotypes and myths surrounding the name “Greek life.” Just a few myths include: All Greeks outshine their members, only care about physical appearance and not personality, and only go to college to party and get drunk. Kappa Delta Sorority does not support any of these stereotypes. We have a strong anti-haze policy. Hazing is defined as an activity or situation that may cause emotional, mental, or physical distress. If a member is caught committing acts of hazing or if a new member is caught being harassed, there will be major consequences, such as national probation or postponement of initiation. Kappa Delta also does not consider physical appearance as the only quality for possible new members. We examine the personality and qualifications that can benefit our fraternity; Instead of having a bunch of cute, popular women, we like to have women with strong morals, a work ethic, and a willingness to love every single member of Kappa Delta. Kappa Delta Sorority is like no other fraternity or sorority on campus; let's not waste our time partying and drinking. We are proud of our historical background, our philanthropic activities and our values. I know that Kappa Delta is the best fraternity not only on the MTSU campus but in the entire country. Initially, the first reason why Kappa Delta is the best fraternity is because of our history. Kappa Delta was founded on October 23, 1897 at the State Female Normal School, now called Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. We were founded by four very different women whose ages range…middle of the paper…to be the best they can be through Girls Scouts of the USA. We need to make sure we can be an organization that people can look up to and be proud of. Bottom line, Kappa Delta is the best fraternity on our campus. We are proud of our history and our commitment to helping others. Our philanthropic activities mean everything to us. We do our best to help them better serve them and their cause. We do our best to uphold our values that will benefit us throughout our lives. Having confidence is the best feeling in the world. When I joined Kappa Delta, I was a shy, awkward teenager. Now that I have been part of the fraternity for some time, I have become a strong, independent and confident woman. These women have supported me through all my difficult and difficult times. No matter what happens in life, I know they will be there for me. Kappa Delta will always be home to me!
