The name of the church I attended was Windsor Village United Methodist Church on June 26, 2016. I don't currently have a church that I attend for personal reasons, but I believe in getting a better connection with God. The church I visited was a revivalist service with Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell. They began with songs, then prayer, then the sermon, then the final prayer. Throughout my experience in this church I felt as if the word of God was speaking directly to me. I'm a realist, meaning I believe everything happens for a reason or I see things exactly as they are. The style of the church was a revivalist church, meaning it was heavy on singing and sermonizing. I chose this style because when I was younger and I was forced to go to church we always had to go. The service represents people from different backgrounds coming together to praise God, which is why I thought I liked it so much. People wearing casual and business clothes looked at each other's closets to join hands in praising God almighty. The particular style is very uplifting for those who have experienced all this. The songs they sang were about God, for example Kirk Franklin's song called Silver and Gold, tells of how a Christian would rather have God than money. They prefer to have faith and hope rather than riches and material things. Another song would be Why We Sing and it's about someone who puts their faith in God and feels like nothing can go wrong with God behind them. These two songs struck me the most because they each represent a side of me as a follower of God. I truly believe that without God's help and the use of His judgment we would all truly be even more lost individuals or sinners than we are us. So…middle of paper…all completely different individuals facing different struggles, but if you follow God and listen to His word you will not lose. It's okay to sacrifice yourself to conquer what's to come. Faith in God will help you more than a corridor believer will make you question his power. God is the king of all kings and the lord of all lords, hence why people question him every day. I also wonder what it does because of my personal reasons that happened in my life. But I was told that if you don't question or question His grace, you will never make it as a Christian because you will sin and act as if nothing happened. The Windsor Village worship service with Pastor Caldwell opened my eyes to more than I imagined with my religion, but it also gave me a better understanding of the questions I always needed answered. This was a great way to learn about God.
