Earth is the lucky third planet from the Sun and the largest of the four terrestrial planets in the solar system. It is the most suitable place for human beings to live because it has adequate sources of everything essential for human beings. Predictions about the end of the world have been proven wrong in the past. However, many people predict that 2012 will be the end of our world. According to the Mayan calendar, the world will end in the year 2012. That's why NASA, the organization that investigates astronomy, tries to find another planet for humans to live on if the Earth really ends in 2012. From everyone points of view there are some obstacles that humans must overcome to live on the new "Earth", namely the preparations for survival on it, the existence of other creatures and the adaptation of man to the planet. Surviving on the new "Earth" requires a lot of preparation to overcome any obstacles. According to “Genetic Engineering” (nd) it would be a great challenge to find a volunteer willing to take the risk of traveling to the new “Earth”. This is due to the high possibility of contracting diseases and the high probability of colliding with other elements in space. Oxygen is the basic need of human beings. However, excessive oxygen consumption by humans can lead to oxygen toxicity while lack of oxygen will result in hypoxia (“We Will Live,” n.d.). Furthermore, there are many elements such as meteorites and stars in space that are harmful to humans.
