Most of the characters in The Hunger Games have strong personalities and unique individual traits; so I can strongly identify with Rue and Thresh. The reasons why I think Thresh strongly relate to me because he always isolated himself from others during the hunger game to survive and also showed forgiveness to someone who helped him before. Because the reason Rue is related to me is because she's quick and shy around people she doesn't know. One of the reasons I think I relate more to Thresh in The Hunger Games is because of his isolation from all the other contestants. From the beginning of the book we don't talk much about Thresh and all we know about him is that he is huge and has dark skin. Even long after the game began, we still didn't know much about Thresh. It wasn't until the end of the game that he showed up to get his backpack so he could have more supplies because when the game started most people died, either with someone or in groups. For example, Katniss and Rue are a team and all the other career tributes are in the same group. At that time, if you are not in a group or have a teammate, you will most likely be dead. Unlike the others, Thresh manages to stay alive on his own and obtain a lot of food. This shows that he is very isolated from everyone else while everyone is with someone at some point in the game. His isolation is similar to mine; even though I'm not as big as him and as skilled as him, I can identify with that isolation. For example, when I moved to Rosemead, I left behind all my friends from middle school and some of them were my very few best friends since I moved to America. After moving to this new city, I thought I could make a lot of good new friends in this new school, but I was wrong... middle of the paper... goodbye to this new math class where I don't know anyone, so I was always sitting alone in the corner of the classroom in class. So during the semester they pass. I started listening to the group of people who sit in front of me when we have free time. So when they talked about funny things, I laughed a little with them too. Then as time went by they started to notice me too. One of them was like those days off again, and we had nothing to do, so one of the girls from that group told me to join them and since then I started having fun in that class. I was very happy to have met them in that math class, because they helped me a lot in class afterwards. This shows that I was also very shy when I was in high school, I was very afraid to talk to anyone unless they approached me. This shows that I am very similar to Rue from the book The Hunger Game.Works CitedThe Hunger Game
