. Electronics and communication have always been a fascinating topic for me. When I was away from home for studies, I spoke to my family on the phone. The joy of talking to my family was overshadowed by curiosity about how the telephone worked. I've always wondered how this little piece of plastic connected by a wire carries my father's voice miles away. The myriad of scientific technologies around me had a very strong influence in fueling my curiosity towards it. My inclination towards electronics began during high school. My physics teacher once won a prize for an automatic speech recognition typewriter for the blind. I was fascinated and could imagine how this could be an advantage for them. My curiosity had already begun when my family watched television, my father worked on the laptop or talked on the cell phone. I was curious about how television, laptops and cell phones worked. My mother and father couldn't answer my questions, and my science teacher's explanations were over my head. This has brought a greater desire for understanding than ever before. Having decided about my career at an early age, I paid great attention to physics and mathematics, from basics to electronics. During high school, to keep abreast of the latest technological developments, I joined the Science Club, took part in various exhibitions, and read many scientific magazines via the Internet. I finished my intermediate level with good grades. Then I enrolled for Bachelor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Pulchowk campus. Even though the learning techniques there were not very practical, the four years of rigorous theoretical study gave me an in-depth understanding of electronics and communication. Some of the… halfway through… want to gain a more global perspective and expand my horizon towards international standards in a more specialization-oriented curriculum. If I can get the opportunity to be a part of that intellectually stimulating environment, I am sure that my talents will be utilized optimally. I can refine my knowledge and skills with available advanced technologies that I can use to improve academic conditions here in my home country. Nepal is a developing country with huge potential in the information technology sector. Electronics and communications will become of utmost importance to meet the needs of this developing sector. Therefore, the conditions here are very favorable to fulfill my aspirations when I return after completing my university studies. If given the chance, I could broaden my creativity, perspective, and understanding of this topic to achieve this goal.
