It is important to ensure that learning objectives have been achieved and that student learning has mastered the course. To decipher the level of learning, assessments are developed to make such determinations. This document will provide examples of learning objective assessments created in the previous Module. It will also discuss the use of Outcomes-Based Assessments (OBAs) and provide an outcomes-based assessment for an adult keyboarding course. It will define and discuss the purpose of outcome-based evaluation, the challenges of such evaluation, and describe solutions that can be used when implementing this evaluation in a program.
