I started taking piano lessons when I was in first grade, but when I moved to Canada, I couldn't take piano lessons. I wasn't given the opportunity to take piano lessons again until 11th grade. In high school, I was in choir for four years, Jazz Band and concerts, and received a music award in year 12. I tutored grades six, seven and eight. When I was in a jazz band, I learned to play the alto and tenor saxophone. When I was in the band I played the flute. I was also given the opportunity to play on my church's worship team for five years. During my first year at University I joined the University Choir. When I was enrolled at Summit Bible College, I was part of the a cappella group called “Tapestry” that was typically performed at special events in churches, our school, and during Sunday services for a year. I finished my 10th grade piano performance and theory exam and am currently preparing for my ARCT: Performance, History and Harmony exams.
