Similarities between Judaism, Islam and ChristianityThere are many religions today that people worship and adapt into their daily lives as their beliefs. Some may have many gods, while others have only one. But three of these religions are considered the main religion practiced by most people in the world today. While different in some ways in terms of history and other teachings, they all have things in common that most of their followers don't seem to realize. Similarities are very important to better understand each religion and be able to determine where they vary. In this article, I like to discuss the similarities found in the three major monotheistic religions: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. The first similarity of these three main monotheistic religions is their belief that there is only one God and this can be read in the sacred texts, the Quran and the Bible. For all three monotheistic religions, God is the only one who can be considered the Creator of the Universe, the Almighty and the venerable divine being who is benevolent and merciful. They also accept the fact that this god is the same God that Abraham worships as stated in the Old Testament. This particular similarity between these three religions has given them the name “Abrahamic religions” by some experts. Despite the different names these three religions have for this particular god, in essence they are one. Abraham is also considered the father of the children of God, often referred to as the people of Israel. (Lin) What differs in the three religions' concept of God is how they support them. It can be seen that Christianity and Judaism are close in their belief in God. They noted that Je... middle of paper... three monotheistic religions are different in terms of their teachings on the word of God and the virtues in which they he must live his own life; their similarities unite them in the aspect of teaching the true nature of life and how it is to be lived. Their differences separate them from each other, but if you look at them closely, they aren't that different. The similarities and differences would also allow each believer to understand what the other religion says and easily understand what makes them different. Knowing all these facts would allow you to keep in mind your reservations regarding a particular issue if you argue with someone who believes in another religion. This would also help each other to coexist and respect those who believe in another religion and not cause any conflict with them just because of different beliefs about the selected religion..
