Topic > Persuasive Essay on Waste Management - 1039

We often forget the consequences of our actions because we believe that we are not obligated to the Earth, but that the Earth is obligated by nature. The waste produced globally, including electronic, chemical and liquid waste, is dangerous to all living things and therefore the status quo for managing this type of waste is to incinerate it and then bury it underground. However, the waste facility my team and I researched, Scholl Canyon Management, does not accept hazardous waste or burn it due to hazardous effects. Since the Scholl Canyon facility does not accept hazardous waste due to regulations, this raises a question about our current ethics and waste management practices. On the other hand, they manage regular non-recyclable waste by collectively packing it underground, layer by layer. Although the Scholl Canyon facility does not accept hazardous waste, they still practice techniques that could have unforeseen consequences and so, if Leopold, Abbey and Berry were at sight of the landfill, they would all agree to change the recycling practice due to limitation , unexpected and internal consequences
