In 1965, a Rolling Stone song, Satisfaction, couldn't be played because a couple of critics thought it contained sexual content (A). Recently, hip hop and rap music videos seem to feature more sexual conduct, drug use, and violence. People believe that children should not see or hear this kind of thing because it can affect their young minds. Music is a way to express feelings and thoughts. Some may think this is inappropriate, but really, what is appropriate these days? Yes, the songs contain swear words, people having different views on life, and/or different dance styles, but that gives people the right to censor them. Artists do things to entertain and give people a voice. Also music is not the only thing that contains inappropriate things, there is the internet, some TV shows and movies that do more indecent acts.. There are better ways of handling things. Yes, saying the words helps, but it's not like people don't already know the words. So what's the point of censoring words when we know them, when we say them? Children are sure to hear things like that, whether they are caused by music or not. I think music censorship should be handled better than this
