The United States government passed an act requiring the killing of an unborn child. This act states that; “Whoever engages in conduct that violates any of the provisions of law listed in subsection (b) and thereby causes death or bodily injury (as defined in section 1365) to a child, who is in the womb at the time the conduct occurs, is guilty of a separate offense under this section. (Cornell University Law School, n.d.) The law basically states that if you kill an unborn child, you are killing a human being under federal law and you are guilty of murder and should be punished differently. I believe this is true because if you kill an unborn child, the child is still a living human being just like everyone else. If someone killed another human being they would be punished for their actions. This goes hand in hand, an unborn child has the same status as a born human being. Anyone who kills, whether innocent born or unborn children, should be punished for the murder of a human being
