Political socialization, the process of acquiring the principles of political culture transmitted from those who are immersed in it to those who are not, forms and develops people with their roles and opinions on politics (Jillson). People go through a long and complicated process of incorporating and combining their thoughts, feelings, and evaluations about politics which subsequently provides diversity in political socialization. My political socialization is not built by my parents who usually have the greatest influence on politics for their children, but mainly by my surroundings and online news and posts. I was very ignorant about how the country is run. The world of politics and government seemed complicated, and this incident occurred the very night before the university's annual Triton Day. Triton Day is the greeting of new students who come from different cultures and nations. Donald Trump supporters simply do not welcome students from foreign countries. UC San Diego, where diversity and respect for all cultures should have been valued, became the home of the anti-Mexico. This isn't just the only school in California. An article titled “Pro-Trump Chalk Postings Cause Conflict on College Campuses” was published in the New York Times. The article stated that throughout the United States there are students demanding freedom of speech while writing “Trump 2016.” Furthermore, advocates are adding anti-religion to anti-diversity. Some scrawled “Stop Islam” next to “Trump 2016.” Obviously fans don't accept other people's beliefs as well as their own
