If we are to consider regeneration as healing and, more specifically, the process of healing the mind, then this implies that the patient has a mentally unstable condition and must be helped to return to a condition normal and stable mental condition. The definition of a normal and stable mental condition in every human being falls within the scope of this person's ability to access situations in a rational and objective way, parallel to the sense of responsibility and duty towards his fellow men, the law and the norms social aspects of the place, time and the condition of the society of which this person is part. The reaction, behavior or response to a certain situation should bring balance or maintain balance in the situation to be reliable in the protection of security measures and the advancement of the generally intended purpose. When an individual is exposed to a crisis situation that causes severe shock, it can lead to a mental state that produces often involuntary and involuntary disturbing behaviors. This behavior is usually linked to the specific crises that caused the shock and when this person encounters similar situations, it produces this often irrational reaction. Each individual is different in personality and character and everyone is affected differently by the same crises. In a group of people, only one can mentally collapse during a given crisis. This means that the healing process involves not only addressing the nature of the crises, but also why this specific crisis had this shocking effect on this individual. In this novel the author addresses the harsh and unthinkable conditions of the First World War in which the soldiers had to fight. Seizures were a daily part of their lives. All war conditions are crisis conditions, but in this paper moment, it is also his duty to his country, to prepare them to be embarked again. During his final weeks, Sassoon manages to find a small cellar-like room where he can be alone and begins to write a book. From the title of the book it can be assumed that he wrote a detailed description and explanation of why the war went wrong and what should be done about it. The title of the book is: "Counterattack". He firmly maintains his beliefs against the war, even in front of the Evaluation Commission, but is convinced not to become a rebel, rather ready to return for another reason, returning to the fighting soldiers, for the fighting soldiers, ready to die. ----------------------------------"You want perception; go to a novelist, not a psychiatrist." ~Sassoon.Works CitedRegeneration by Pat Barker
