From birth and throughout life each person seeks to develop a set of individual values that are common only to that particular person. There are a significant number of reasons and things that help people develop the appropriate sense of identity. But people should understand that identity formation is within the person and no one can distract it. people from this goal. This essay will focus on the relationships between identity formation and social influence on this current and long process. There are numerous types of social influence on people's identities. First of all, the important role in this process is attributed to the media and television. Due to the process of globalization and international integration, most people cannot imagine their lives without television, computers, the Internet and the media in general. Especially children are addicted to different types of media. As a rule, human identity is formed among people as they grow older, and the stage of adolescence is characterized by constant identity formation. This process is influenced enormously not only by the media, but also by the Internet, where today people can find everything, all kinds of information and facts. Therefore, the process of identity formation has become more complex and difficult for people due to the implementation of such new and innovative technologies and strategies. Postman and Powers stated that “when a television news... half a newspaper... ...f every person throughout their life. The influence of society is very important in this case, since not only family and peers can help shape people's identities, but also the media and the Internet. Stereotypes are also common problems nowadays, increasingly trying to adapt to the models and opinions of the people around them. The main thing is to remember that each person is individual and identity formation is within each individual. It is impossible to adapt to common stereotypes without a personal point of view and attitude towards these issues.
