When they went to a hotel room, Jamal told Latika that it was their destiny to be together. When Salim got drunk, he joined Javed's gang and kicked Jamal out of the room. When Jamal turned eighteen, he signed up for the most popular show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" in the hope that Latika would notice him. In his last question on the show, he chose the option of calling a friend... middle of paper... he fought for the same cause even after his death, and they finally achieved their goal. If Jamal or Saro-Wiwa had lost hope, they would never have had the will to survive and achieve their goals.
