The poverty rate actually depends on the country and its conditions, the more corrupt the country the more poverty increases, that's why in more developed countries the poverty rate becomes too low compared to developing ones. Being a poor person means being deprived of the basic needs to live as a human being in any society and that is why according to human rights there should be no poor people living on earth. Although a country like Egypt is full of resources and promising markets, the poverty rate is still very depressing, especially because it continues to increase every year and with all the attempts made to stop it, poverty is still one of the main problems facing Egypt is facing. face. The reason why every country should care about getting rid of poverty is because it not only helps the poor and needy, but also helps itself and provides a better life for its children in the future. Apart from that, the more poverty there is in a country, the poorer this country would be, it is difficult to find a rich country with a high poverty rate and vice versa. The purpose of this research is to find out the main reasons for poverty in Egypt and determine the consequences resulting from poverty in Egypt, indicating or recommending the most practical solution that could be well applied to this problem. One of the main causes of poverty in Egypt is illiteracy, the illiteracy rate has become so high lately that it has reached truly critical levels.
