IntroductionThis project shed light on the Wal-Mart company and the possibility of expanding and reaching the United Arab Emirates. What are the effects? Can the company succeed in the UAE? The United Arab Emirates is one of the Gulf countries and most of the world's trade and business. The country has unique attributes for Wal-Mart Company which include religion, language and traditions. The country also has a number of economic and political rules that could impact the success of the Wal-Mart company. So what are the companies' strategies and whether they can compete with larger local towns such as Lulu and Carefour centers? The answer is yes and this is due to the fame and reputation that the company has in much of the world. The project will focus on the main characteristics of Wal-mart which include their history, sales strategies, locations, promotions and their products. General information about the country The United Arab Emirates was united on 2 December 1971 under the rule of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The history of this country is ancient even if it was united for a short time. The country is made up of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Alkhaimah, Um Al Qewain and Alfujairah, all united under the vision of Sheikh Zayed. The United Arab Emirates is located in the Middle East region of the Asian continent, bordering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman. It is located in the southern direction of the Arabian Gulf (Persian Gulf) and contains an estimated number of 200 islands. The country covers an area of 32400 square miles with a high percentage of the area covered with deserts.
