Topic > Exploring a student's attention span and how much...

IntroductionThe leap from primary school to high school is a very daunting experience as a student is exposed to new methods and standards of working. Students usually just assume that they will struggle and thus their work ethic is thrown into disarray. Social issues become more problematic and they soon find themselves worrying about more than school. Puberty is also an important factor that affects the student. These aspects divert the student's attention towards things other than school. The purpose of this research assignment is to explore whether the student's attention span influences their ability to remember their work and how long they can remember it. With research one would be able to pinpoint this specific underlying problem in the drop in grades from grade 7 to grade 8 and find a solution and a way to resolve it through memory training or strengthening attention span. By following this research question I'm trying to create a better understanding of what happens to their attention span and to give awareness to parents and educators about it. This way you can provide guidance to help them adapt. The objectives of this investigation include trying to ensure effective use of classroom time, providing teachers and parents with comprehensive ways to help their children adapt and, most importantly, helping the student understand himself and therefore adapt to the different environment while keeping in mind one's own character. The survey will explore students' learning levels through the use of a test and the results will be enriched with interviews. It is important to ensure that the investigation is carried out in the most ethical way possible, thus not jeopardizing the health, safety and dignity of all parties who will be the...... middle of paper...... giving them a quick look at the words and numbers I had used in the test earlier and tested them again to see how well they remembered their words. I think the results would show that students lack the use of long-term memory and rely on short-term memory to learn. References:1.
