My father also missed the experience that is so important in my life. Personally, it is very difficult to forget moments and it is difficult to forget time. Eventually, people reach the acceptance stage where they have prepared their initial painful emotions. I am able to agree that the loss has occurred and cannot be undone. The person would then once again be able to plan their future and engage in normal life again. I know no one can help you deal with it more or understand all the feelings you are going through. But other people can be there for you and help comfort you through the experience. The best thing you can do is allow yourself to feel the pain as it always assails you.
