Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is the organisation's obligation to behave in an ethical and moral manner. Generally refers to the concept that businesses have a responsibility to the society that supports them (textbook). Organizations that wish to pursue long-term goals must consider the practice of contributing to society, the company's environmental and economic impacts. BreadTalk believes in the pursuit of giving back to society and making a difference in the lives of people in need. In fact, they put Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into practice through the act of giving back to society during one of the world's most shocking disasters: the Sichuan earthquake of May 12, 2008. BreadTalk played an important role by specifically creating " Peace Panda" ”, panda bear-shaped sandwiches with 4 different expressions symbolizing the terror of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The proceeds of the organization were entirely donated to the China Earthquake Appeal Fund of the Chinese Embassy and the Red Cross. In this way, it not only improves media coverage but also word of mouth, which leaves a deep mark on its customers as it demonstrates humanity and compassion. BreadTalk did not make any profit from the sale of Peace Panda buns, but media publicity and word of mouth led to an increase in customer numbers. Customers not only buy the Peace Panda sandwich, but also buy other bread, which results in an increase in their profit. Corporate social responsibility also attracts potential employees and increases motivation, morale, better work attitude and higher productivity of current employees. Organizations must ensure that they publicly recognize employees who contribute to their CSR activity... middle of paper ......ity, one person only. Avoid assumptions: Managers should try to avoid jumping to conclusions about employees or anyone. One of the first rules of cultural awareness is to stop assuming that one way is wrong and the other is right. No one likes to be taken for granted, we must always understand the situation before coming to a conclusion. Listen actively: Effective listening is something that most cultures have in common and is another cornerstone of cultural awareness. Managers should listen to people, pay attention and be more sensitive to the words used, the context and also read between the lines. Pass on your knowledge: work in a multicultural team, sharing knowledge brings mutual benefits. Share tactical guidelines for overcoming cultural differences in the workplace and use those differences to create a more dynamic and productive environment.
