Assuming that human interpretation of the gods' actions is real, events such as the Creation and the Flood - constants found in almost all civilizations - become supporters of the fact that humans do not enjoy the favor of the gods, and even the heroes found in the myths of ancient Mesopotamia can be set aside without regret.
