President Sarney's response included a restructuring of the political and economic landscape by initiating a series of plans focused on controlling the domestic market, but this meant reducing access to foreign markets and controlling the exchange rate. Towards the turn of the millennium, Brazil began to engage in the free and preferential trade agreements organized by MERCOSUR (Common Market of the South). This is when globalization began for Brazil. To investigate the effects of globalization it is necessary to divide our indicators into three sections, each of which reflects a different action and impact of a series of globalization indicators; Economic indicators; social indicators; environmental indicators. In the study of the effects of globalization in Brazil the following indicators will be present
