The Fall of the East. Zhiwu Chen, a finance professor at the Yale School of Management, once asked the world two crucial questions: “Why has China's economy grown at such a pace? high rate over the last 30 years, and is this growth rate sustainable?” In recent decades, China's rise as a major economic power has been undeniably prominent, first in Asia and then in the eyes of the world. The most popular answer, as the world knows it, is because China has “vast cheap labor,” but this is not necessarily true. China's development idea was supported not only by a huge workforce. Instead, it was also driven by all the changes happening in the world, which allowed China to take advantage of its workforce, and also by improving technological developments and social reforms (Hayat). China has developed at a relatively fast speed compared to the rest of the world due to the change in the order of production. Global textile production, which was once synonymous with the West, had repeatedly shifted from England to the United States, due to a series of events known as the "Cotton Famine." The textile industry then moved to Japan and China, key players in the textile market (Biselli). It was this shift in textile manufacturing power, combined with the enormous workforce that China has, that allowed for dramatic growth in the Chinese economy, as a starting point (Hayat). Industrialization, as discussed in Horan's lecture, was a stepping stone to the great development of Japan and China as an economic feat that breaks the international barriers in trade they once had, while also providing some strong supports leading to their development . The aspect that explains why China has grown so much is that... half the paper......ina one day will fall, it would only mean a temporary break from the industry, as we have already seen the success of China now become autonomous .References."Economic suicide the biggest threat to China - OP-ED - Globaltimes.cn."Globaltimes.
