Topic > Evaluative Criticism of the Article: Marine Parks Should Be... they do not carry any burden. The general conclusion Daily drew in this essay is that marine parks should no longer be kept open because they are useless and can somehow be considered animal cruelty or because new animals should not be captured for their uses. In the essay I found that there were four main premises that can clearly be found. The first important premise is found in the second paragraph, where it is said that 'there are many more places where marine life can be found naturally than marine parks' (Bill Daly, par 2). The second premise is found in the third paragraph, where Daly tells us that "by moving marine life out of their natural habitat we are influencing their behavior and making any research conducted on them unreliable when it comes to their natural behavior." (para. 3). The third main premise I found is found in the fourth paragraph, where it says that "parks might be considered tourist attractions, but the majority of tourists come to see wildlife in its natural habitat and not in cages" (para. 4 ). The fourth and final premise I found was in the fifth paragraph, in this paragraph Daly says that "parks can be cruel to the animals they keep because they place a restriction on the freedom they would normally have in the wild" (paragraph 5). In the end I believe Daly has created a good inductive argument against the use and creation of marine parks. I believe this essay created an inductive argument, as Daly provided evidence that helped support the conclusion making it probable..... .middle paper ......natural habitat and not in cages' (paragraph 4 ).P4: 'Parks can be cruel to the animals they keep because they limit the freedom they would normally have in the wild' (para. 5).P5: 'It would be more convenient for Australians to visit nearby natural places than Gold Coast parks , (paragraph 2).P6: “Animal behavior and natural instincts change in a marine park compared to its natural habitat” (paragraph 3).P7: “Tourists can see caged animals in their home country” (paragraph 4).P8: “Animals that are used to roaming long distances in the open ocean are confined to small cage-like areas” (paragraph 5).P9: “Concrete containers sometimes create problems in communication and make them go crazy" (par. 5).C: "Marine parks are useless and cruel animals, therefore they must be closed or no other animals should be captured for their use" (par. 6).
