Although George Orwell's Animal Farm was created to imitate individuals and events that occurred during the time of the Russian Revolution, it is still possible to gain a complete understanding of the text without prior knowledge of the history through the valorization of the imperfections of human nature. After the publication of his novel, Orwell confirmed that his goal in writing this fable was to expose the wrongdoings of the Soviet Union and the betrayal of the true ideas of the Revolution. However, there were many other examples of events such as the French Revolution that can easily be contrasted with the elements of allegory. However, we do not need to dig deeper than the fundamental flaws of human nature to witness the catastrophic consequences that attributes such as hierarchy, propaganda, and betrayal have on today's society. George Orwell's main goal when composing Animal Farm was to depict the Russian Revolution. of 1917 as an event that produced a more repressive, totalitarian and lethal government than the one it replaced. Various components of the text, including the setting, characters, and plot, were intentionally created to parallel key figures and events surrounding the communist territory of Russia during the revolution. Manor Farm, where the plot takes place, is based on the country of Russia. The character of Mr Jones is a replica of Tsar Nicholas II, the last Russian emperor.
