Students should wear uniforms to emphasize competition over who looks better at academics, less violence, self-esteem and personal achievement. Many experts insist that uniforms improve learning, make schools safer, and make students feel happier. (Tarshis, 2011). Wearing uniforms can actually give many students a more professional appearance. When students come to school looking professional, they tend to focus more on their education. Some say the uniforms infringe on students' freedom. However, uniforms do not pose a threat to the student's individual freedom because there are many other things that make you apart from clothing.
