Spreading the message about Christ and the ability to lean on, trust, and depend on Him is the message of the Gospel and the New Testament. “Paul evangelized as an appointed representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. Evangelization was a task that had been specifically entrusted to him. Paul considered himself the herald of Christ” (Packer, 1961, p. 42-43). The gospel is a real message about Christ coming to save real sinners. It is critically important that sinners come to understand that they are far from God and known as His enemies. “The Gospel is a message about sin. It tells us how we have failed to meet God's standards; how we have become guilty, dirty, and helpless in sin, and are now under the wrath of God.
