In this article I will explain the life of John Logie Baird. He was the first to invent the wonderful television in the mid-90s. While he wasn't the first to harness technology to make television, he simply added the little knowledge of a great role model named Paul Nipkow. I will tell you about his early life, how he invented television and many other facts.__________________________________________John Logie Baird was born in Helensburgh, England on August 13, 1888. He is the son of John Baird and Jessie Morrison. He has 2 sisters and a brother; James, Annie and Jean Baird. He attended Larchfield Academy, the West of Scotland Technical College and the University of Glasgow around the time of the start of the Civil War. His religion was Calvinist, which is closely related to the Christian religion. He was a quiet businessman who loved the fine arts of technology, engineering and read many motoring related magazines. In one of his particular magazine articles he saw the true study of "television" in the eyes of Paul Nipkow. Nipkow actually created the primitive television which he called Elektrisches Teleskop. He transmitted an image through a long, well-thought-out and easily constructed television device. While it may seem like 5 minutes of fame, it has actually had little to no success. Even though the technology was very poor at the time, Baird thought he could do with what he had. If Nipkow could do it, why couldn't he? He soon learned that it wasn't as easy as pie. He went through years of technical testing and many difficulties before his invention was successful. He spent his days mostly in a small business. He... middle of paper... on the television screen even more so during the time Hitler was conquering Europe. After getting out of a jealous relationship with the BBC, he wanted to be better than everyone again. He quickly noticed how successful he has been on his own and how much he can accomplish. It probably happened in the middle of his very eventful life; once you settle down to have a family. He married Margaret Albu and had 2 children. His children are Diana and Malcolm Baird. Time passed and Baird John managed to complete all his missions. Although age eventually caught up with Baird and he realized that he couldn't do all the things he used to be able to do. Diseases were more attracted to him and he simply no longer had the energy he had always had before. He eventually retired from work. Baird died on June 14, 1946 of a stroke. He is buried in Helensburgh Cemetery in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland.
