In times when a child or teenager is involved in acts of violence, government officials, newspapers and parents have all blamed video games as the culprit. As a result, video games have become the scapegoat for antisocial and violent behavior. It seems like the media always points the finger at something they don't fully understand. Studies have shown that video games are actually beneficial to different types of people in many ways. For example: Video games have helped children with autism improve their social skills. For children who are shy or introverted by nature, online games have proven to be a great way to connect with others. Also from study and personal experience, during times of stress taking a break and playing video games relaxes me and helps increase my confidence.
