instead of the FCAT we have the ACT. The PERT test compares to the EOC and the results are immediate. According to the Florida Department of State, “it is a healthy quality of life and creates a fun barrier for students.” I don't agree with that at all, I don't think those are fun barriers that cause a lot of stress to students. They are just wasting tests/tax dollars, but they know they have a new test with the same meaning, just a different name with a different standard. Overall it's stupid and a waste of money and
