Essentially, most of the United States is unconsciously, or at least appears to be unaware, of a patriarchal system that is evident in business, government, and society. One can also link the patriarchal system to racialized sexism. Because the patriarchal system in America revolves around the idea that being a white male is the most privileged, people often tend to think that racism is directed primarily towards African American men rather than ethnic groups as a whole, and feminism involves mainly white women, which leaves women of color as their own collective identity which is a result of the patriarchal system in America. Patriarchy also promotes males as dominant, which unknowingly enforces domestic violence.
