This is seen as Lady Capulet mentions to Juliet, “Well, think about marriage now. Younger than you here in Verona, the esteemed ladies have already become mothers. (Romeo and Juliet.1.3.71-73). Because Juliet's mother emphasizes that Juliet is at the prime age for marriage, there is enormous pressure on Juliet to marry quickly and extend her family's social status position. Influenced by the strong family values of marriage, Juliet must make crucial decisions in her life, knowing that her choices can greatly affect her family's social status. This pressure of urgency causes young people's decisions to be rushed and premature due to the constant stress of trying to appease the way society views them. In similar terms, the reality of social pressure reinforces a person's core family values. This is demonstrated on Juliet's balcony when Romeo expresses to Juliet, “And what love can do, this dares love tempt. So your relatives don't stop me." (Romeo and Juliet.2.2.68-69). Even with the knowledge that he might be killed if seen, Romeo still attempts to visit Juliet for love. Romeo's act of courage indicates that his love values are so fervent, that the pressure of death can be overcome with his affections. Romeo's reckless attitude shows that the values imposed in a person can only be revealed through the reality of being in society.
