“The ABC Murders” is about a detective named Poirot who must find clues about a killer who is killing people whose names are in alphabetical order. It all started with Alice Ascher of Andover. It then went to Betty Barnard from Bexhill and then to Sir Carmichael Clarke from Churston. Every time the killer committed a crime he left an ABC train map next to the victim. The killer was an experienced criminal who left no trace of his identity. It's called ABC. Before each murder, ABC sent Poirot a letter stating the date and city where the murder would take place. The victims' relatives joined Poirot in trying to defeat the criminal. In the finale Poirot reveals that Sir Carmichael Clarke's brother, Franklin Clarke, committed the crimes to divert attention from him wanting to inherit his brother's treasures. He had to kill him so he couldn't marry Thora Gray and not have the money. Franklin Clarke tried to frame the murders on Mr. Cust, a traveling salesman. The setting is London, England.
