Some of the most famous literature about knights are the romantic stories about King Arthur and the Round Table; full of the best riders in the country. One of the best knights of the round table was Sir Gawain, grandson of King Arthur. In the story Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Sir Gawain proves himself to be the perfect knight. He manages to be kind to women, never refuse a challenge, and be pious. I believe Sir Gawain and the Green Knight was more than just a romantic story of a perfect knight.
